Goodman Pool to open July 15 with changes due to COVID-19

Goodman Pool in Madison will open next week, but there are safety plans in place.

The City of Madison says the pool will open Wednesday, July 15in three 2-hour sessions with limited capacities. Anyone 5 and older will also have to wear a mask in line for the pool and when entering the pool area.

Madison city leaders say families should arrive ready to swim, because the lockers and changing rooms will be closed. Deck chairs will not be provided this year, so you may want to bring your own chair.

Water bottles are allowed, but no carry-in food or other beverages will be allowed.

Guests are asked to maintain a physical distance with others and wear a mask in the bathrooms or interacting with pool staff. Limited bathrooms and showers will be available and concessions will be closed.

If the weather is good, the pool hours will be broken up into three 2-hour sessions from 12:00-2:00 p.m., 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. and 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Admission is $3 person, per session.
