More than 120 complaints made on first day of Dane County mask mandate

MADISON (WKOW) -- 27 News confirmed from Public Health Madison Dane County that out of 138 complaints pertaining to COVID-19 compliance they received on Monday, 126 were regarding masks. That was the first day of the mandate in Dane County. There could be more mask complaints but PHMDC has to gather more information.

Between June 15 (first day of Phase two of the "Dane Forward" plan went into effect) and July 1, PHMDC had received complaints pertaining to about 80 businesses. Two of those businesses, Gino's Deli on Verona Road and Grace Coffee on E. Washington Ave. received 3 complaints and two citations each.
