UPDATE (WKOW) -- A Madison Police Department squad car was involved in a three-vehicle crash Thursday night while responding to a weapons violation.
It happened at the intersection of North Park and West Johnson Streets at about 10:15 p.m.
One person was taken to a hospital for treatment. The officer involved was also treated for a minor injury at a hospital.
UW Police assisted in the investigation and collected several witness statements.
An internal investigation is ongoing.
