Brandon Woodruff selected to MLB All-Star Game

Brewers pitcher Brandon Woodruff will be the fifth player from Milwaukee on the NL's All-Star roster, joining Christian Yelich, Yasmani Grandal, Mike Moustakas, and Josh Hader. Woodruff will be the injury replacement for Hader, who is day-to-day with a back injury.

With five All-Stars, the Brewers match a franchise record set last year for total All-Star players.

Woodruff, 26, has thrown 108 innings so far this year, with an NL-best 10 wins and 126 strikeouts so far this season. He was an 11th-round draft pick of the Brewers in 2014, three years after being drafted by the Texas Rangers in the fifth round but never signing there.
