Brewers Blank Astros 6-0

The Milwaukee Brewers needed a solid outing from a starting pitcher and they got it on Tuesday night. Colin Rea threw over five innings of scoreless baseball and the bullpen followed suit in the Brewers 6-0 win over the Houston Astros.

Joey Wiemer put the Brewers on the board in the bottom of the third inning with a solo home run. It was the second longest home run of the season for Milwaukee.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Owen Miller scored the second run for the Brewers. Miller singled and stole second base. On second base he forced a throw from the catcher that went into centerfield. He was able to score on the overthrow. It was 2-0 Milwaukee after four innings.

The score remained frozen until the Brewers scored four runs with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning. Brian Anderson hit a two-run double and Owen Miller hit a two-run home run to give Milwaukee a 6-0 lead.

Bryse Wilson pitched a scoreless ninth inning and the Brewers won 6-0.

The series finale against the Astros will be on Wednesday afternoon at 12:10pm.
