Brewers Earn Series Win Over Astros With 4-0 Victory

The Milwaukee Brewers held the Houston Astros scoreless for the second consecutive day in their 4-0 win on Wednesday afternoon. The win over the Astros gave the Brewers the series win.

Milwaukee held Houston scoreless for the final 19 innings of the series.

Brewers starter Adrian Houser didn't allow a run for his second consecutive start. He worked into the sixth inning and then handed the baton to the bullpen. Joel Payamps, Bryse Wilson, Hoby Milner, and Jake Cousins completed scoreless outings out of the bullpen.

On offense, the home run ball carried Milwaukee. Willy Adames hit a two-run home run in the first inning to give the Brewers a 2-0 lead. In the seventh inning, the Brewers added two insurance runs with solo home runs from Owen Miller and Brian Anderson. Milwaukee led 4-0 after seven innings. That would be the final score.

Milwaukee is 27-22. They start a four-game home series against the San Francisco Giants on Thursday night at 6:40pm at American Family Field. Listen to Tim Allen on the Baseball Postgame Show after the game on 97.3 The Game in Milwaukee and the iHeart Radio App.
