PLATTEVILLE (WKOW) -- Platteville police are investigating after two brothers were found dead Monday, each in their own separate homes.
Police were called to two different residences in the city for welfare checks requested by a family member.
During the welfare checks, two brothers -- one 37 and one 40 -- were found dead in their respective homes.
Autopsies were completed on Jan. 12 and the final results are pending a toxicology report, according to a news release.
Initial indications have revealed both men had unique medical issues which may have contributed to or caused their deaths.
Platteville police are actively continuing the investigation and will release more information when it is available.
Police don't believe there is an ongoing threat to the community.
Although the men were related and the timing of their deaths is very coincidental, their deaths do not at this time appear to be the result of foul play, police said.
