Evers to declare new public health emergency, extends mask mandate

(Madison, WI) -- The state's mask mandate is to be extended. The current mandate concludes next week. Yesterday, Governor Tony Evers said it will be extended 60 more days into March. Meanwhile, Republican State Senator Steve Nass reportedly plans to issue a joint resolution to end the mask mandate.

Evers issued the first statewide mask order in July, and has extended it every 60 days since then.
