West Allis man arrested in 2019 Columbia Co. homicide

COLUMBIA COUNTY (WKOW) -- Columbia County Sheriff's Office announced Thursday that a suspect in 2019 homicide in the Township of Leeds was arrested.

Authorities say Wolf was at his home with his family on Sept. 27, 2019, when he went to the basement to investigate a noise. Shortly after he was shot, Wolf died due to the injuries.

The autopsy led authorities to investigate the death as a homicide.

Sheriff Roger Brandner said since then, investigators have been working to find and arrest the suspect in the death of Wolf.

On Thursday, a search warrant was executed in the City of West Allis.

Police said evidence items, including the handgun used in the homicide of Keith Wolf, were recovered. Police arrested Jason Allen Kijewski, 43, on one count of First-Degree Intentional Homicide.

With the assistance of the West Allis Police Department and the Department of Criminal Investigations, the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office took Kijewski into custody without incident. Kijewski was then taken to the Columbia County Jail where he waits for his initial court appearance. Additional charges against Kijewski are expected.

This investigation is still active and ongoing.
