TOWN OF BRISTOL (WKOW) - More than a dozen residents of the Town of Bristol signed a complaint against a strip club in the community, maintaining the business has failed to abide by the terms of its liquor license.
The complaint emerged Tuesday during a Town board meeting into the operation of Club Bristol Gentleman's Club after three incidents of gun fire outside the club in the past two weeks. While authorities say no one was hurt in the gun incidents, a car with people inside was hit by the bullets, and gun fire hit the club building.
Town Board Chair Gerald Derr says board members will meet again Thursday to consider the complaint. Derr says the residents maintain the club's operation has been disorderly and dangerous.
The club closed this week voluntarily after the most recent gun incident. Derr says club owners agreed to keep the establishment closed until at least the Thursday meeting.
Club Bristol owner Rich Bickle says he's willing to consider additional safety steps after already introducing metal detection and increasing the club's security staff.
