UPDATE (WKOW) -- The Rock County Bomb Squad has left a Janesville home after investigating a report of possible explosives inside, according to the Janesville Fire Department.
Battalion Chief Ronald Bomkamp confirmed to 27 News early Thursday morning that the 3400 block of Randolph Road has been cleared and people do not need to avoid the area anymore.
Bomkamp was unable to immediately tell us if explosives were found in the home. He said more information about the investigation would be released later Thursday morning.
JANESVILLE (WKOW) --- Rock County Bomb Squad is investigating possible explosives in a property in Janesville.
In a press release from Janesville Fire Dept., Battalion Chief Ronald Bomkamp said the situation began with a check welfare call. Paramedics on scene were told there were possible explosives.
The bomb squad is expected to be on scene for a few more hours. The public is asked to avoid the area.
