Students taken to hospital as a ‘precaution’ following bus crash

UPDATE — Several students went to the hospital following a crash involving a Badger Bus Monday morning.

According to an incident report from the Madison Police Department, a bus carrying three students between ages 7-12 collided with another vehicle at East Washington Avenue and First Street.

Reportedly, the students were taken to a hospital as a precaution. The driver of the bus was treated for a neck injury.

UPDATE (WKOW) -- Lanes are back open on East Washington Avenue following a crash involving a Badger Bus Monday morning.

We are still working to learn more about injuries sustained.

MADISON (WKOW) -- A Badger Bus was involved in a crash on East Washington Avenue Monday morning, according to Dane County dispatchers.

It happened in the northbound lanes at 1st Street at about 7:20 a.m.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation said lanes are blocked while crews respond.

There were reports of injuries, but it's not clear the severity.
