DEFOREST (WKOW) — DeForest Police are providing updates into an October 11 hit and run involving a pedestrian.
Police say the day after the incident, a person came forward that was able to lead police to the "striking" vehicle. That vehicle is a 18-wheel semi-tractor and trailer, and police say it had damage consistent with the accident.
Police then arrested a 54-year-old man, who is not being identified at this time, and they plan to refer felony charges to the Dane County District Attorney's Office.
Officials say the victim is in stable condition. The victim and family have asked for privacy but police say they've "expressed their gratitude for the swift identification and arrest of the suspect in this case."
