STOUGHTON (WKOW) -- Stoughton Police say two people were arrested after leading officers on a chase in a stolen vehicle.
A news release from the Stoughton Police Department says officers discovered the vehicle in the Walmart parking lot around 4:50 p.m. Sunday.
As officers attempted to stop the vehicle, police say the occupants attempted to flee. An officer then fired at the vehicle as the driver allegedly tried to strike an officer while fleeing.
The two people in the vehicle were arrested after leading police on a pursuit.
No one was injured during the incident.
The officer that fired his weapon has been placed on administrative leave, per the Sun Prairie Police Department policy.
Multiple agencies are investigating the incident.
