Four dead from crash on I-39 southbound near Deforest

DEFOREST (WKOW) -- Four people are dead following the crash on I-39 southbound at Mile Marker 124 late Thursday night.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, the driver of a Honda Van was pulling over to help a disabled Honda Civic on the shoulder. While pulling into traffic, the van was struck by two semi-trucks around 10:15 p.m., resulting in the death of all four occupants in the van.

The driver of the van, a 36-year-old woman from Lyndon Station was killed, along with the passengers, an 18-year-old man from Lyndon Station, and 39-year-old man from Wisconsin Dells.

The identities of the people killed were not released pending family notification.

The patrol has not yet identified the fourth person killed in the crash. 

Neither driver of the semis were injured.
