Whitewater police looking for man who held woman against her will

WHITEWATER, Wis. (WKOW) — Walworth County authorities are looking for a man who allegedly held a woman against her will for several days and is now on the run. He is thought to be armed and in possession of multiple rifles.

Whitewater Police Chief Daniel Meyers told 27 News the suspect is 18-year-old Yeferson Guzman Rodriguez and is described as a 5'8", 150-pound male.

Chief Meyers said the department has alerted schools and UW-Whitewater to use additional security measures Monday morning.

Police are asking the public to be on the lookout for Guzman Rodriguez and to report any sightings.

Police initially asked people to avoid the area at the 300 block of South Janesville Street in Whitewater. But early Monday morning they cleared that scene.
