JANESVILLE, Wis. (WKOW) -- Three people were arrested for human trafficking in Janesville recently, according to the Janesville Police Department.
Sgt. Aaron Dammen said multiple law enforcement agencies did a joint operation on Oct. 26 that focused on solicitation of prostitution.
The operation took place at a vacant Janesville home, and three people were arrested for solicitation of prostitution.
All three were processed then released.
Dammen said human trafficking "continues to be an issue and is taken seriously by all the agencies." He said the solicitation of it is "one facet" and agencies plan to do similar operations in the near future.
The Rock County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Justice – Division of Criminal Investigation also participated in the operation.
