MADISON, Wis. (WKOW) -- A woman was hit by a car Tuesday afternoon while shoveling her driveway in Madison, according to the Madison Police Department.
Public Information Officer Stephanie Fryer said a 20-year-old driver was navigating a curve on Seminole Highway at about 2:25 p.m. when he began to slide in the snowy conditions.
The driver spotted a woman shoveling and immediately sounded his horn in an attempt to alert her.
Despite his efforts to prevent the accident, the vehicle ultimately slid into the 73-year-old woman.
Police said she was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
