MADISON, Wis. (WKOW) -- A young man showed up at a Madison hospital with a gunshot wound late Thursday night and now authorities are investigating, according to the Madison Police Department.
Lt. Scott Reitmeier said in an incident report that someone called 911 to report hearing gunshots Gene Parks Place and Mike McKinney Court at about 11:30 p.m.
When officers arrived they found bullet casings in the street and started their investigation.
Police said a short time later a 23-year-old man showed up at a local hopsital with non-life-threateing gunshot wounds.
Detectives with the Violent Crime Unit collected interviews and evidence overnight
