Woman arrested for vandalizing Schoeps Ice Cream headquarters

MADISON, Wis. (WKOW) -- A woman was arrested in Madison and tentatively charged with criminal damage to property after police caught her vandalizing the Schoeps Ice Cream headquarters.

Madison Police Lt. Caleb Johnson said officers got a call at 11:22 p.m. that vandals were actively spray-painting a part of the building.

When they arrived at the location on Helena Street, police said two suspects ran away. One was apprehended shortly after with spray cans, paint markers and other items that would be used to vandalize.

The woman, who is a Belgian citizen, was booked into the Dane County Jail.

MPD officers have seen similar graffiti in other places in the city. They believe the suspects in this case are to blame for that as well.
