Madison woman arrested for 4th OWI after high-speed chase

MADISON, Wis. (WKOW) -- A 36-year-old Madison woman was arrested late Sunday after leading police on a high-speed chase across the Beltline, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol.

It started around 11:30 p.m. when a state trooper tried to pull over Tracye Campbell near East Broadway and Edna Taylor Parkway.

She didn't stop, and a pursuit started. The chase hit triple-digit speeds before the trooper called it off for safety reasons.

Local police got involved shortly after, using tire deflation devices to slow Campbell down.

The pursuit continued eastbound on the Beltline and ended when her vehicle stopped on the Monona Road ramp.

Campbell, who was already facing her fourth OWI offense, was arrested on multiple charges, including felony fleeing and eluding. Additional charges might follow.
