CROSS PLAINS, Wis. (WKOW) -- Trees came down across Cross Plains from Monday night into Tuesday morning during strong storms.
Damage reports indicated that houses and cars were hit by fallen trees and branches.
27 Storm Track Meteorologist Dana Fulton was in Cross Plains during Wake Up Wisconsin to show the damage.
Cleanup efforts began as soon as the sun came up.
Thousands of people also experienced power outages overnight.
At one point, Alliant Energy reported more than 2,000 customers without power, while Madison Gas and Electric listed 1,600 affected customers.
The numbers were changing rapidly Tuesday morning.
