SAUK COUNTY, Wis. (WKOW) -- A crash on State Highway 33 in Sauk County left one person dead and another seriously hurt Friday afternoon.
An updated news release from Sauk County Sheriff Chip Meister said officers responded to the scene in Delton township at about 2:20 p.m. on Aug. 16.
They found a Subaru Outback overturned in the westbound lane and a GMC Sierra nearby.
The initial investigation showed the GMC was trying to pass a car, and hit the Subaru head-on.
The driver of the Subaru was pronounced dead on the scene. The GMC driver was taken to UW Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The Sauk County Sheriff's Office is continuing its investigation.
