SUN PRAIRIE (WKOW) -- One person died, and another person was hurt following a shooting in Sun Prairie on Friday night.
Sun Prairie police told 27 News the other person who was hurt was taken to the hospital but is expected to survive. The two people are said to be known to each other.
Police said they are investigating the case as a homicide.

A large police presence blocked off the streets near the intersection of Martin Street and East Elm Street while police responded to the scene. Neighbors originally called in reports of gunshots around 7 p.m.
27 News spoke with Max Tramburg who lives two houses away from where the homicide occurred.
He moved to the neighborhood in July and says he's shocked to learn what transpired in his usually quiet neighborhood.
"I didn't really know what the noise was right away," said Tramburg. "I heard some yelling and then after that, I heard multiple gunshots and at that point, I hit the deck and ran into my room to try to seek shelter," said Tramburg.
"I came out pretty shortly after, just to see what the commotion was and then that's where I saw there was a lady yelling, neighbors were coming out, and I called 911."
