(Madison, WI) -- Former President Barack Obama is coming to Madison to try and get people to vote. Obama and Democratic VP pick Tim Walz will stop in Madison today for the beginning of in-person early voting in Wisconsin. Democrats in the state are counting on an early voting surge to lift their candidates in next month's election. Democrats have had early voting leads in the past several elections in Wisconsin. Obama is seen as one of Kamala Harris' best closers in these last two weeks before Election Day.
Tuesday's rally will be held at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum at the Alliant Energy Center, where the doors open at 10 a.m. for the afternoon event.
