(WKOW) A strong winter storm will deliver significant snowfall across southern Wisconsin on Saturday, with bands of heavy snow producing rates up to one inch per hour through the afternoon and evening. Total accumulations of 8 to 11 inches are likely for most areas, with pockets of 12 inches or more possible, especially in the far southeast and southwest. The snow will taper Sunday morning from west to east, but blowing snow may still be a concern. Following this system, temperatures drop below average for early next week.
