Throwback Thursday: Brett Favre's First Start

Today we throw it all the way back to 1992, when Brett Favre made his first career start for the Green Bay Packers against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Green Bay went three-and-out on their first series, getting stuffed on a reverse and dropping two passes, but came alive on offense in the second half, as Favre threw touchdown passes to Sterling Sharpe and Robert Brooks as part of a 210-yard day in a 17-3 victory.

Take a look back at a big moment in Packers history courtesy of NFL Films! Favre would go on to set the record for consecutive starts by a quarterback, a streak he took into the final seasons of his career, from this starting point.
