Packers Dominate Bears In 27-10 Week 2 Victory

That's more like it! The Green Bay Packers bounced back in a big way in Week 2 of the NFL season with a 27-10 victory over the Chicago Bears.

The Packers entered this game knowing they needed to hand the ball to their running back duo of Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon and they absolutely succeeded in that regard. Jones had 15 carries for 132 yards and a touchdown while Dillon had 18 carries for 61 yards.

Aaron Rodgers spread the ball around, not giving any of his receivers more than four targets on night, completing 19 of 25 passes for 234 yards and two touchdowns. Sammy Watkins was the leading receiver with three catches for 93 yards, including a 55 yarder for Green Bay's longest play of the game. Aaron Jones, Randall Cobb, and Christian Watson each had three receptions as well.

After an opening drive touchdown for the Bears, the Packers defense completely shut down Chicago's offense forcing four consecutive three-and-outs and not giving up another first down until nearly halfway through the third quarter.

Preston Smith led the Packers on defense with seven tackles, including three QB hits and two sacks. Jaire Alexander had a late interception of Justin Fields to seal the game for Green Bay.

It was an all around solid team win for the Packers, and it'll get them some momentum heading into their Week 3 faceoff with Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
