Traffic Changes Coming Around the Capitol

Preliminary Construction on the southern half of Capitol Square is set to begin on Monday.  There will be a number of traffic changes to streets surrounding the capitol.  The northern half of the square was rebuilt last year.  The project is slated to be complete by mid August.

Beginning Monday, right turns from South Carroll Street to South Hamilton Street will be closed.  The South Carroll Street and West Washington Avenue intersection will be open.  There will be work done at the Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Main Street intersection on the Capitol Side that will also start on Monday.
