A thunderstorm storm moved through the northern half of Dane County late Tuesday morning, leaving behind mostly pea-sized hail. There was a downpour in places like Windsor, Middleton and Sun Prairie.
Meteorologist Dan Collar is with the National Weather Service in Sullivan. He says the hail covered the roads like snow.
And while Collar doesn't want to see any damage or injuries, he says it would be interesting to see an actual tornado in Wisconsin in February...which is the ONLY month when one hasn't been recorded in our state.
There is a chance for more severe weather later Tuesday, mainly south of a line from Madison to Milwaukee.
