April 12, 2017 – At 5:53 pm on Tuesday, April 11th, Dane County Sheriff’s deputies and EMS responded to a wooded area near High Street in the Village of Deerfield for an unresponsive male.
The man was discovered by a group of children playing in a nearby park. The 56-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dane County Medical Examiner.
An autopsy is being conducted today to determine the cause and manner of his death.
A preliminary investigation showed no signs of trauma and drug paraphernalia was found near the man’s body.
