MADISON (WKOW) -- Police are investigating another armed carjacking in Madison, the second in just two days.
Madison Police say it was about 11:15 p.m. Friday when they got called to the 1200 block of McKenna Boulevard. A woman was sitting in the parking lot when a man got in the passenger seat, pointed a gun at her head, and ordered her out of her car.
The suspect drove off with the red Buick Lucerne, but police found it in a nearby parking lot at about 3:20 Saturday morning. The woman wasn't hurt.
The victim told police the carjacker was a black man in his early 20s, and he wore a dark hoodie or coat.
This comes after teenagers were carjacked at gunpoint after a soccer game at James Madison High School Thursday. That carjacking has Madison Police Chief Mike Koval concerned. “This raises the octave of a sophisticated carjacking that we typically haven't seen,” said Koval.
Police tell 27 News they're investigating whether the two carjackings could be related.
