Three Wisconsin natives go in first nine rounds of MLB Draft

Holmen's Jeren Kendall, Marshfield's Daulton Varsho, & Franklin's Evan Kruczynski all get selected in the 2017 MLB Draft.

Jeren Kendall was drafted 23rd overall by the Los Angeles Dodgers. Kendall was projected to be a top-ten pick. He's an outfielder and played the past three years at Vanderbilt.

Daulton Varsho was drafted 68th overall by the Arizona Diamondbacks. Varsho went to Marshfield High School. He played in the Northwoods League for the Eau Claire Express, primarily as a catcher. He played college ball at UW-Milwaukee.

Evan Kruczynski was drafted 274th overall by the St. Louis Cardinals. He is from Franklin, and played college ball at East Carolina. He's a left-handed pitcher. The Cardinals selected him in the ninth round.
