Sun Prairie police say a person of interest in a fatal shooting over the weekend is in custody.
34 year old Steve Adams of Cottage Grove has been booked into the Dane County Jail on one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Early Sunday morning, 33 year old Thomas Leonard of Marshall was shot and killed in the parking lot of an apartment complex on South Bird Street.
The investigation continues.
