THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 AM CDT FOR

DANE COUNTY...

At 231 AM CDT, local law enforcement reported eight disabled vehicles due to flooding on the west and southwest sides of Madison. Over 4 inches of rain was measured in two hours just southwest of Madison. Radar estimates 4 to 5 inches fell between Middleton and Oregon since midnight.Some locations that will experience flooding include...Madison, Sun Prairie, Fitchburg, Middleton, Stoughton, Waunakee,Verona, Oregon, McFarland, Monona, Windsor, Edgerton, Marshall, SaukCity, Deforest, Cottage Grove, Cross Plains, Deerfield, Mazomanie andShorewood Hills.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize thedangers of flooding.Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of smallcreeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses aswell as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
