The number of pharmacies participating in the statewide standing order for naloxone is growing.
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reports 182 pharmacies have obtained a copy of the order.
Naloxone is a drug that can prevent an opioid overdose.
The standing order allows pharmacies to dispense naloxone to people at high risk for an opioid overdose and their families and friends. No prescription is necessary.
