Grant funding opioid crisis programs extended

Wisconsin's efforts to address heroin use and the misuse and abuse of prescription painkillers gets another financial boost. 

The federal government has announced an extension of a grant being used to boost prevention, treatment, and recovery efforts related to the opioid crisis. 

Wisconsin will receive about $7.6 next spring at the conclusion of the first year of the grant. Wisconsin received about $7.6 million earlier this year.
