A home on Madison's East Side was damaged by gunfire early Thursday morning. Police were called to the 100 block of Powers Avenue, which is in the Milwaukee Street area, just after 1 a.m. At least one bullet penetrated the wall of the home and struck a couch. Nobody was hurt. Witnesses saw 2 vehicles flee the scene.
A home on Madison's north side was also damaged by gunfire Wednesday night. A glass door was shattered as shots rang out in the 3800 block of Goodland Drive just after 9:30 p.m. Nobody was hurt.
