A man wanted in connection with and overnight armed robbery in Janesville has surrendered after barricading himself in a rural Milton area home, according to the Rock County Sheriff.
A woman in the home had surrendered earlier.

UPDATE -- A man who authorities believe is armed and has a violent past remains barricaded in a rural Milton area home.
The man and a woman who surrendered earlier Thursday are persons of interest in an overnight robbery in Janesville.
Police were first alerted to trouble early in the day when a woman called 911 from Newville to report an incident of domestic violence, according to Rock County Sheriff Robert Spoden.
The woman said she fled the house she shares with two others, a man and a woman, after the woman discharged a firearm into the air. The house is located near Kennedy Road and County Highway M.
After interviewing the victim, investigators believed the man and woman matched the description of the subjects they were seeking in connection with an armed robbery overnight at the Stop N Go store in the 700 block of Center Avenue in Janesville.
The sheriff's office responded with a SWAT team about 9:30 a.m. and the woman in the house surrendered peacefully and excited with her hands up later in the miring, Spoden said.
However the man remains barricaded inside and Spoden said they believe he is armed. Spoden said he has a lengthy criminal history that includes several instance of violence.
He has made statement in the past that, "He is not going to back to prison," Spoden said.
Spoden said the man has a history of an assortment of assaults, robbery and domestic violence situations.
Spoden said the cold weather is a challenge for deputies, and Rock County will be getting help from other area departments if needed.

UPDATE (WKOW) -- A Rock County Sheriff's official tells 27 News a SWAT team has set up a perimeter near Kennedy Road and County Road M, west of Milton, looking for two people who are persons of interest in a gas station robbery early Thursday morning.
The official says the two were involved in a domestic situation with another person at home near that intersection, and the third person alerted authorities about what was going on. The official could not offer specifics about what happened at the home.
As of 10:30 a.m. Rock County officials were still establishing a perimeter. County Road M is closed between N Newville Road and N Pine Road, and Kennedy Road is closed from County Road M to E Manogue Road.
When asked if the persons of interest were considered dangerous, the official said, they were "proceeding with caution." He asked the public to avoid the area.
