The Dane County Sheriff's Department is urging homeowners to make sure they lock up the house, and their vehicles. It follows a rash of break ins, with the latest on Royal View Drive in the Village of Windsor, just before midnight Friday. The homeowner left a vehicle unlocked. The suspects found the garage door opener in the vehicle, and then went in the house. Police say the homeowner awoke and scared off the suspects.
Meanwhile, Waunakee police continue to investigate a rash of break ins from late last week, where again....suspects made their way into vehicles and homes through unlocked doors. Lieutenant Adam Kreitzman says they'll be talking with Dane County deputies to see if these break ins are related to the Windsor incident Friday morning.
