One to two inches of snow is expected across the area, before the snow ends from west to east early this morning. Snow covered and slippery roads are expected.
Slow down and allow for extra time to reach your destination early this morning. This is the first widespread accumulating snowfall of the season. Most accidents occur in lighter snowfall, according to statistics from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and Wisconsin Traffic Operations and Safety Lab. Also, drivers are not yet acclimated to driving in the snowy, slippery conditions.
