Bitter cold continues in Madison

Bitterly cold weather continues to hit Wisconsin.  The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory until noon today for a huge portion of the state, including Dane County.  Highs are only expected to reach 12-degrees with wind chills that could drop to 34 below.  People heading outside should bundle up.

Madison is coming off one of the coldest holiday weeks on record.  The National Weather Service says the average temperature in the city from Christmas Day through New Year's Eve was 1.6-degrees.  That is the second-coldest holiday week ever.  Only 1886 experienced a lower average temp over the same time period.
