MADISON (WKOW) - So-called Halloween killer Gerald Turner's potential move to the Madison area is delayed at least two months.Turner's mandatory prison release date was Feb 1. A probable cause hearing on the state's attempt to have Turner designated a sexually violent person and committed to a mental health institution has been moved to April. Turner will remain in the custody of the state department of health services at least until the rescheduled hearing.
Turner was convicted of the 1973 sexual assault and second degree homicide of 9-year old, Fond du Lac trick-or-treater Lisa French.
Dane County law enforcement officials say Turner is planning to move to the Madison area, if released.
