Madison West High School Athletic Director Resigns

School district officials says Madison West High School's athletic director resigned after just nine months on the job, as a student says the AD retweeted objectionable material before his separation from the school.

District spokesperson Rachel Strauch-Nelson says the district does not comment on personnel matters, other than to confirm Torrance Hill resigned his position this week. The student provided 27 News with a screen grab from what's purported to be Hill's Twitter page.  The screen grab shows a pornographic image being retweeted.  27 News has been unable to find an active Twitter account for Hill.

27 News has been unable to reach Hill for comment.

A letter from West High Principal Karen Boran to school community members informs them of Hill's resignation.  "We are in the process of appointing an interim West AD in the coming days,"  Boran writes.Strauch-Nelson says the district-wide athletic director will cover Hill's duties until the interim athletic director selection is made.
