MADISON (WKOW) -- Babies"R"Us on Zeier Rd. in Madison is not closing, as previously reported.
Parent company Toys"R"Us declared bankruptcy in September and announced it would be closing a number of locations across the country.
Toys"R"Us spokesperson Amanda Kahl confirmed to WKOW Friday that the Madison Babies"R"Us will be staying open.
She said, "I can confirm that the Madison Babies“R”Us store is not on our current closures list. As we have shared publicly, our focus is on the reinvention of our business and emergence from Chapter 11. Decisions about our future store footprint and organizational structure will be based on needs of a new business model. Any articles in the media regarding additional store closures are based on pure speculation."
