From Madison Police:
A 3-year old child was bit on top of the skull inside a residence on the 1200 blk Winn Trl by a 7-year old, 65-pound, blue nose pit-bull. The child's grandmother was able to separate the pit-bull from her grandson during the incident Friday morning.
MFD treated the child on scene for non-life threatening injures.
An animal control officer responded to the scene to take custody of the pit-bull. The pit-bull will be put down. The pit-bull owner(s) lived at the residence.
