April 24, 2018 – Dane County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a Strong Armed Robbery that occurred at 8:15 am today in the parking lot of the McDonald’s located at 4020 Milwaukee Street in the town of Blooming Grove.
The female victim was sitting inside her vehicle, when a white male, approximately 5’1” tall and wearing a black mask on his face, approached her driver side and knocked at the window. When she refused to open the window, he smashed the glass with a “knife type tool”. The suspect grabbed the woman’s purse and fled on foot behind her vehicle.
One witness describes the suspect leaving in a tan/gold/pearl colored 4-door car. The car was also described as having a boxy shape. The suspect sped from the parking lot westbound on Milwaukee Street, nearly hitting another vehicle, and then running the stoplight at Milwaukee St. and US Highway 51.
