The Madison Police Department is continuing to investigate a downtown car crash that left two pedestrians injured early Sunday morning.
A Middleton man, age 26, had bumps and abrasions while a Madison woman, age 31, suffered a broken arm after being struck.
Witnesses say the victims were crossing the street at the intersection of E. Doty St. and King St. when they were hit.
The car's driver, Tanner J. Smith, 19, of McFarland did not show obvious signs of impairment, but marijuana and a scale were found in his car.
He was arrested for possession of THC with intent to deliver, operating after suspension and bail jumping.
Officers said there were about 75 people in the area at the time of the collision, many having left establishments at bar time.
Numerous officers were called to the scene to interview prospective witnesses.
As of noon Monday, Smith was still in the Dane County jail.
