Man hit with pipe-like object during Madison armed robbery

MADISON (WKOW) -- The Madison Police Department is looking for two suspects after an armed robbery early Wednesday morning.

Authorities said the incident happened at about 2 a.m. on the 2600 block of East Washington Avenue. 

According to an incident report, a 56-year-old man was walking down the street when he was approached by two men. One had a knife and the other had what the victim believed to be a pipe. 

The victim was hit by the pipe-like object and the suspects were able to take some money. 

One of the suspects is described as a black man, about 6 feet tall, mid 20s, wearing dark clothing, possibly armed with a pipe. The other suspect is described as a black man, shorter than the first suspect, mid 20s, dark clothing and jeans, armed with a knife.
