WAUNAKEE (WKOW) -- Firefighters in Waunakee were sent on an unusual call after cows became trapped in a manure pit.
Waunakee Fire Department posted a series of photos on its Facebook pageTuesday showing the rescue. Firefighters say two cows were successfully pulled out of the underground manure pit. The photos show the process of hoisting the cows out and the firefighters cleaning up.
The post says cleanup after a fire seems like "child's play" after responding to this call.
